Arnold Palmer won the first two Texas Opens (1961 and 1962) at Oak Hills, leading the way for others champions like Hale Irwin, Lee Trevino, John Mahaffey, Ben Crenshaw, Corey Pavin, Mark O'Meara, and Nick Price.
